Gerry Wall apparently used to be Joni Mitchell’s parent’s paperboy in Saskatoon. That alone ought to be enough to get his foot in the door of Capital Records. Check out his song “Cheticamp” from exPatriots’ Day.

Deep Six Holiday is moody and sweet. In fact they remind me of the Moody Blues a bit, if the Moodys had a chick singer and did a lot of songs about death. Check out the haunting “Empty Casket” from Awake at the Funeral.

Daniel Nahmod sings real good. I mean, he’s no John Lennon but his thoughts are clear. If you don’t mind a slightly preachy worshipy kind of music listen to “Last Song” from his album Water.

Mark Northfield says his music is “Unashamedly romantic, dark, complex and subtle cinematic songs in an alternative/classical vein …”. That’s right, it sounds a lot like Eno which means I’m a fan. Listen to Zero. I mean listen to that song, not don’t listen to anything, from his album Ascendant.
